Food Resources – November 2025

Due to the federal government shutdown, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) food benefits will not be issued until the shutdown ends or further federal guidance is provided. For additional resources, questions, and assistance, dial 211 or text 898-211 to speak with a trained community resource specialist.

A list of statewide food resources is provided below to support access to nutritious food and meals:

Food Shelves and Pantries

Little Free Pantry

  • Description: Weatherproof boxes filled with shelf-stable food. Visit website to find mini pantry locations.

Ruby’s Pantry

  • Description: Offers an abundance of groceries to participants for a $25 cash bundle donation. Participants may visit as many locations as they wish each month, and each site offers different food selections.

Free Hot Meal Programs

Loaves and Fishes 

  • Description: Provides a free hot meal served at many locations throughout the metro area and greater Minnesota area. The meals are free, ready to eat, to-go meals. No questions asked, no reservation/registration required; arrive at the designated time and receive as many meals as requested. Does not provide meal delivery services.

Grocery Store/Business Discounts

DoorDash

  • Description: Offering free delivery and service fee on one order placed at select SNAP-enabled stores. SNAP/EBT card holders must have cards linked to DoorDash account. Eligible customers use promo code SNAPDD. Offer valid from November 1st – 30th.

GoPuff

  • Description: Offering two $25 grocery credits and free delivery for SNAP recipients (available to first 200,00 users). To redeem, add SNAP/EBT card to GoPuff account and add eligible groceries to account. From November 1st – 15th use code SNAPRELIEF1. From November 16th – 30th use code SNAPRELIEF2.

Restaurant Promotions and Community Meal Offers

Buzz Coffee and Cafe – Burnsville

  • Description: Free community chili night from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm November 5th. Register online.

Duluth’s Best Bread – Duluth

  • Description: Children age 12 and younger eat free. Children can also stop by to get a day-old loaf of bread or pastry for free. To get offer, mention the DBB Kids Special.

Heights Pizza Man – Columbia Heights, Fridley, New Brighton, Northeast Minneapolis

  • Description: Offering free pizza slices, salads, and cheesebread to those in need while funds allow.
