Cold Weather Rule 2025 – 2026

From October 1 to April 30, Minnesota’s Cold Weather Rule protects residential customers from having their heat shut off. Renters may also qualify for CWR protection if the electricity or gas is the primary heat source and the utility account is in the renter’s name.
